Abuser Protection — by Joe Pote

Hophni and Phinehas try to manipulate the very hand of God, with the “Ark of the Covenant,” thinking they have him held between a rock and a hard place.
(Much like our abusers do to us, in which we have the “Indwelling of the Holy Spirit” )
See how God lends them over to the “folly of their own ways”, and how God allows their controlling plan to be turned against them.

Let us take to ourselves from Shiloh the ark of the covenant of the Lord, that it may come among us and deliver us from the power of our enemies.” So the people sent to Shiloh, and from there they carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord of hosts who sits above the cherubim; and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.(1 Samuel 4:3-4)

Text in [square brackets] has been added by Barb.

A Cry For Justice

Ezekiel Chapter 34

The word of the LORD came to me: “Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel; prophesy, and say to them, even to the shepherds, Thus says the Lord GOD: Ah, shepherds of Israel who have been feeding yourselves! Should not shepherds feed the sheep? You eat the fat, you clothe yourselves with the wool, you slaughter the fat ones, but you do not feed the sheep. The weak you have not strengthened, the sick you have not healed, the injured you have not bound up, the strayed you have not brought back, the lost you have not sought, and with force and harshness you have ruled them. So they were scattered, because there was no shepherd, and they became food for all the wild beasts. My sheep were scattered; they wandered over all the mountains and on every high hill. My sheep were scattered over…
